LEWALL, Thomas Edward

September 30, 1999 – Yellowknife, Northwest Territories
November 3, 2018 – Airdrie, Alberta

Thomas Lewall our much beloved and cherished son, brother and friend, left us suddenly on November 3, 2018 at the age of 19 years.

As an avid lover of all things winter and the great outdoors, Tom enjoyed and excelled at a variety of sports including hockey, snowboarding, hiking, canoeing, and fishing. Tom also had an artistic side where he expressed himself through music, art and writing.

Tom was born in Yellowknife on September 30, 1999, moving to Airdrie at age 5 where he immediately made new friends through school and sports. He attended the French immersion program through Ecole Edwards, Ecole Airdrie Middle School, graduating from George McDougall High School in June of 2017. Tom went on to try his hand at engineering at the U of C. He decided engineering was best left to his big brother.

A friend and prankster to all that knew him, Tom was a good natured soul who immersed himself in the lives of his friends and supported them where he could. Tom left us before he could fulfill his dreams, but not before gracing his family and friends with his humour and his love.

Left to remember him are his parents, Bernard and Karen Lewall; big brother John, little sister Emily; grandparents Ted and Kathy Lewall and Doug and Sheila Macdonald; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and teammates.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Airdrie, 300 Towerlane Drive, Airdrie, AB) on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Tom’s life will be held at George McDougall High School (412 3rd Ave NE, Airdrie, AB) on Saturday, November 10 at 11:00 A.M. Reception to follow. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in memory of Tom may be made directly to Centre for Suicide Prevention Suite 320, 105 12 Avenue S.E. Calgary, AB T2G 1A1 www.suicideinfo.ca or to The Suicide Prevention Life line https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/.

In living memory of Thomas Lewall, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Airdrie, 300 TOWERLANE DRIVE, AIRDRIE, AB. Telephone: 403-948-1100.
