LEVIS, Shannon Rae (nee Torrie)

June 29, 1949 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
November 26, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Shannon Levis of Calgary passed away very peacefully on Monday, November 26, 2018 with her family at her side at the age of 69 years.

Shannon enjoyed curling and golfing as an opportunity to spend time with friends. Crafts were an avenue for her creative side. She enjoyed the family time at her parents Columbia Lake cabin and yearned for more time with relatives whether in Saskatchewan, Calgary or BC. She loved the sing songs which started around grandma Pinkney’s piano.

Her four-year struggle with PSP was supported by Bill Levis, Barb Landes, Mary Balfour and many friends. Thanks to her caretakers from Elder Care and at Bethany Riverside over the last two years.

Shannon is survived by her sons Jamie and Craig (Jessica); grandchildren, Chace, Kayden, Torrie and Jet Levis. Shannon has discovered peace with her loving son Sean who recently passed away on November 5, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents James and Phyllis Torrie; Pete and Dorothy Levis, and as well as brothers Bill and Murray Torrie.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Deerfoot South, Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street S.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences may be forwarded through
