Offering my thoughts and prayers to the Leitch family. Jack was instrumental at the beginning of my football career. He was always someone I could talk to. I did learn quite a bit from him in the few years that I knew him. He was a quality individual and he will be missed.

Condolence from Paul Ford on October 23rd, 2014 9:33 AM

My prayerful condolences go to the Leitch family during this time of loss. I have fond recollections of refereeing (Basketball) with Jack during the early 80’s when I first arrived from NL. My first Humber College assignment was with Jack Leith and Bobby Little & I was the newbie from the east coast – what a collective wisdom of experience, mentorship, & knowledge is our shared loss! Two giants of basketball officiating in Toronto have left a void. Jack, you were indeed unique!

Dearest Donna, I’m so sorry for the loss of the love of your life. Jack has left not only a mark in many places of importance but he has made a mark also in my heart, his sparkly personality and energy has made some of my depressing days filled with laughter and joy. I’m sending you all my love in this time of grief, may he now rest in peace and give the angels a run for their wings, and they better have that special cocktail hour up there cause he will run them wild if they don’t lol! I will always remember his laughter.
