Condolence from Michele Stuart on May 28th, 2018 1:46 PM

Mr and Mrs Lavoy, Sandra, Maggie and family.
My heart aches for your loss — for our loss. Growing up with your son was not by choice it was by chance that our families moved to North Haven to raise their kids. My memories are shaped and moulded by those choices you made 53 years ago – and for that I thank you VERY much. Maurice and I have weaved in and out of each others lives but we always seemed to pick up right where we left off just as if time stood still. I know without a doubt my Momma in heaven will look after him for you ❤️.

The loss is so great when it hits closer to home….darkness falls over and the heart becomes heavy, the feeling is filled with sadness and sorrow.
In time… the light, will take over the darkness and the heart will be lifted as memories of treasured moments consciously awake. Returning the life of the loss.

I just saw the Midfield show on the National and saw Maurice. I am so sorry to hear of his stomach cancer and now that he has passed away. I went to high school with Maurice and remember going to his house to listen to music and hang out with Dave B and friends. Maurice was an incredibly kind and sweet hearted man. I always loved his smile.

Condolence from Dawna on December 31st, 2018 8:44 AM

My condolences to Ed and Marlene. I lost my son this year too so I know the absolute pain and grief you must be going through. Maurice’s daughters and grandchildren have lost the opportunity to get to know their father and grandfather and for that I grieve as well. We only found about him dying today and by fluke. It’s too bad, I think we all would have liked to say our goodbyes.
