To the Lane family I extend my sincerest condolences. My first fond memories of Marcia go back to a Friday night dinner at her parent’s home in 1965 when Lynda and I first started dating. Over the years whether it was a visit to our Vermont home or George and Marcia’s Calgary home I will always savor the spirited discussions of politics, the arts and medicine about which she was well informed. Very surprised and saddened by this news! Marcia was great support to me during my tenure on the board of TC. Very supportive in having Rick McNair appointed as Artistic Director. She initiated and followed through on a small fundraising to establish a memorial plaque at the Arts Centre in recognition of Bill Patterson, a patron of the arts and a good friend of mine.
    I will miss her!

    George and family:
My heart cracked when I read only today that Marcia had died. I wish each of you, her beloved, the very best as you come to terms with your loss of wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a remarkable woman and will be missed, I am sure. I live in Vancouver and Mexico and was not aware that she had passed or the circumstances that surrounded her early death. and I regret not knowing about the memorial service in time to have been there.
    Bless you all.
