  4. Marissa Poirier :

    Hello family members of Jenine,

I wanted to thank you for putting together a beautiful service in her memory on Friday. Members of the fashion community and I were honoured to be able to remember her legacy and talents with you. I wasn’t able to stay after the ceremony as I had to run back to Calgary to do a photoshoot, I figured Jenine would want me to and would kick my butt if I didn’t go! I wanted to be able to give you all a hug and tell you a wonderful stories of Jenine. I was lucky enough to be able to meet and have a creative relationship with Jenine when she first popped onto the fashion scene. I quickly scooped her up to give her guidance in this tricky market. Us women photographers have to stick together! I’ll never forget the first time she got to shoot in an actual studio! She was so incredibly excited! in fact she was so eager she almost blew out the studio lights from clicking so quickly to get her shots! Jenine was always so incredibly driven and knew her style inside and out, there was not varying or waving her in any way, she always kept to her guns and put forth what her gutt said. I’m incredibly blessed to have had many conversations with her, been able to be by her side in her journey and watch her flourish. I send such condolences, prayers, well wishes your way. Please take care of yourselves and know that you are loved, that she loved all of you so passionately.
