We wanted to share our condolences with Larry’s family. It is never easy to have to say goodbye to a loved one. The pain of loss can be unbearable. Our Creator promises us that one day this pain will be just a memory. That beautiful promise can be found at Revelation 21:3,4. Our pain and suffering will be a thing of the past, and we can cry tears of joy as we welcome back the ones that we love so much. We hope you find comfort in those promises.

Larry was a great role model. He was always happy to help others, loan his tools, share a joke, and offer advice. He taught me a lot about cars and household electrical over the years that has been invaluable. I hope that someday I can be a spark just like he was
for me, and give someone else the confidence to start tackling their little projects. Larry, you made a lasting impression, and you will be missed.

  12. Russell Smith :

Please accept my sincerest condolences. I met Larry in 1977 when I was posted from Germany to Base Maintenance Edmonton. I was a Captain at the time and I came to look upon Larry as one of “my” NCOs. He was a great guy and we got along well. He was in charge of a maintenance section at Base Transportation, away from the main shop. About once a month, I would visit him, mostly just to talk and have a coffee. He was a good problem solver and his techs enjoyed working with him. He was well liked. I left the base a year later and next saw Larry at a November 11 ceremony at the Military Museum a few years ago. He hadn’t changed much. Still the same easy going soft spoken guy. We would chat for a few minutes at the RCEME Thursday get-togethers. Rest in peace, Larry

My husband and I were shocked and very saddened to learn of Larry’s passing. We are parishioners of St. Bernard’s Church and used to see him each Saturday evening at Mass. He would wait in his car until Mass was about to start and we’d chat as we entered the parking lot. He was a lot of fun and it was always a treat to see him. We will miss him as will the other parishioners who also send their condolences.
