LACASSE, Vivian Jean (nee Roberts)

May 4, 1929 – Edmonton, Alberta
June 16, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Vivian Jean Lacasse at the age of 89 years on June 16, 2018. Vivian was born on May 4, 1929 in Edmonton, Alberta to parents Thelma and Lester Roberts and was raised with two sisters and one brother and later on in life was able to meet her half brother, Allan Campbell. She grew up in the small northern town of Blue Ridge, Alberta. Her family moved to Calgary in her teen years where she attended Central Memorial High School. Soon after she met the love of her life Clem and in 1950 they were married. Her greatest joy was her family. In her later years she struggled with Parkinson’s Disease.

She is survived by her husband Clem; her children Debbie, Dianne (Tim), Brent (Charissa); grandchildren, Terri (Bryan), Greg, Ashlie (Bryan), Adam (Natasha); great-grandchildren, Rowen, Lily and Paige.

Vivian was predeceased by her siblings Kathleen Deines, Barbara Boyd, Vernon Roberts.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00a.m. Reception to follow immediately at the funeral home. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Parkinson Association of Alberta, #120, 6835 Railway St SE Calgary T2H 2V6, www.parkinsonalberta.ca.
