Dear tante Guus, Arno, Karri & Mira,

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of our oom Ernst. It is always very hard to lose someone dear but remembering the good times may bring some consolation. Good times like our 1975 trip to Banff and Jasper National Parks of which I have attached a few pictures to help you remember. I will never forget!

  12. Dear tante Guus, Arno, Karri and Mira,

We were saddened for the loss of oom Ernst. Please accept our condolences. Our 1977 road trip is still remembered. On pictures, on film and in our minds. Recently, during my America trip I visited some of these places again and I still could remember what he said in 1977. He won’t be forgotten.

The last of a generation. The last who knew about life in Lebong Tandia before the war. I guess this door is closed now but another one opens, and behind it, our future.

    Sterkte.

    Hilda Kolster-Heijne , Marcel Kolster.
