KERR, Margaret Helen

October 2, 1948 – Eriksdale, Manitoba
May 8, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

The family of Margaret Helen Kerr of Calgary, AB, is sad to announce her passing on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the age of 70.

Margaret lived her life to the fullest, always striving to live a healthy lifestyle going on walks, exercising and doing Aquasize with her friends. She was always up for an adventure and loved to travel whether it be cruising, walking the Great Wall of China, kicking up sand on the beaches of Hawaii, roaming the castles of Scotland or skydiving on her 60th birthday!

She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who was loved and will be missed by many. After a year-long battle with cancer, she now rests peacefully, watching over us.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 on the patio/garden at Rouge (1240 8 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB) from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with “speeches” to start around 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

In living memory of Margaret Kerr, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Crowfoot, 82 CROWFOOT CIRCLE NW, CALGARY, AB T3G 2T3, Telephone: 403-241-0044.

  3. Dear Tisha, Nikki and family,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your very kind and loving Mom. Margaret was a very special lady who was loved and admired by many, me included. Oh the fun we had on our many adventures, from camping to cruising, snitching apples in the Okanagan to the horse races and hula hoop contest that your Mom won by a landslide. I was fortunate to see Margaret just a few weeks ago when we laughed at her shenanigans in bopping a lady on the head with a puzzle box lid and the pride she had in her grand children. I will always remember, with love, my very sweet friend. God speed Marg, till we meet again. Love Gail
