JORDAN, Patricia Mallan

February 27, 1944 – Glasgow, Scotland
February 3, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep sadness that the family of Patricia Mallan Jordan (nee Clark) announces her passing on Sunday, February 3 at the age of 74.

Pat was born in Glasgow, Scotland and immigrated to Canada as a young woman. She called Canada home for more than 50 years but always, Scotland held her heart. She earned her degree in Education from the University of Calgary and enjoyed a long teaching career in with the Calgary Catholic School Board, Calgary Board of Education and Clear Water Academy. She will always be remembered for her passion of William Shakespeare and John Steinbeck.

The other loves in her life included, reading (as any good English Major would), knitting, Bach, the BBC and the Celtic Football Club. However, not one of her passions could hold a candle to her beautiful granddaughter Zoe, whom she adored with all of her heart and soul.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughters Seonaid and Trish, her granddaughter Zoe and her son-in-law Glen as well as her extended family in Scotland; the Kinnaird, Carroll and Mallan families.

Pat is predeceased by her father James (Jimmy), mother Patricia (Pansy) and sister Cathie. “Truly I tell you today you will be with me in paradise” Luke 23:43

Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In living memory of Patricia Jordan, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Crowfoot, 82 CROWFOOT CIRCLE N.W. CALGARY, AB, T3G 2T3, Telephone: 403-241-0044.

Dearest mom, I sadly send you this from Detroit, MI as I was too far away to say the final, painful goodbye. Your beautiful grandchildren Rachel Katie, age 14, and Michael James, age 13, will visit your tree one day and hear the story of your life. In this, I promise. Love, Nicky

I taught with Pat and can testify that she was a wonderful teacher. She touched the hearts of her students like none other and she brightened the days of many fellow teachers. She is a great lady and I am saddened by her loss. However, I am sure that a woman of such deep faith will surely be with our Father in heaven now. My prayers and love go out to the family.

I will miss her at the next dinner our friend Sylvia has as she was always a delightful dinner companion. She made me laugh and challenged my assumptions. Rest In Peace Pat.
