We were so sorry to hear of Rita’s passing. We didn’t see her often but always enjoyed her company at family gatherings. She was smart, witty and lots of fun. She and I shared a love of “bling” and would compare our sparklies when we met. I’m happy we got a chance to know her and send our deepest sympathies to her family.

I was transferred by CPR, Montreal, Que., to Edmonton in the late 1950`s and Rita and I worked together in the Supt`s office/CPR. Rita worked directly for the Supt. – Mr. ECB McNab. As a new comer to the city, she was most kind and helpful – and certainly made my time in that dept. more pleasant! Everyone loved Rita…she had a great sense of humor, loved clothes, sports and travel. We have kept in touch over the years and actually we only met two or three times since then. We always tried to keep each other up to date with our life when we exchanged our Christmas cards.
I mentioned today that I had not heard from Rita this year, despite the fact that I had sent her a card. That is why I checked to see if I could get some info on the computer. I certainly was very saddened to read this obituary. My sincere sympathy is extended to her family.
