Jeanne was a lovely person. She was always very kind and thoughtful. We will truly miss her at our Sunday breakfasts, at badminton on Tuesdays and Thursdays , and at our other get togethers. We are deeply saddened that she will no longer be a special part of our lives. She brought a ray of sunshine to the lifes of many people and had a heart of gold. I write this we tears in my eyes and with an appreciation for our fun times together. Jeanne you will not be forgotten.
Affectionately, Amy and Steve Watkins (Abbotsford, B.C.)

  3. Gary R Lupton :

I have only known Jeanne for 5 years but it was a joy to have had the time to enjoy the friendship that we had. We had a friendly little competition a badminton in Abbotsford that we enjoyed. Jeanne always had that big smile on her face. I received an email from Jeanne the day before she passed and her spirit seemed to be so positive that it was such a shock to hear the news. I will always remember you Jeanne.

  4. Bonnie Moore :

Indeed, Jeane was an extra special lady! So kind and thoughtful – I have no doubt that she was the favourite aunt to so many. I will not see a candy sucker without thinking of her story of planting (jelly beans?) outside, to grow into suckers for the kids at Easter.
And her sense of humor – yep – it was wicked!! Always active, always with friends.
I am so honored to have known Jeane as my friend!

  6. Shirley and Stan Tam :

I only met Jeane a few years ago. She was doing a perfect downward dog in our yoga class as I struggled to not topple over. She was the one who encouraged me to try badminton where I ended up meeting more wonderful people. Even though we were at different levels of play, Jeane was always there to include me in a game or two and introduce me to the rest of the gang. When my husband joined the group, she took him under her wings too.

Throughout a difficult October when my husband was recovering from a simple surgery gone wrong, Jeane kept up a continuous line of support through emails and telephone calls. She always managed to make a bleak day just a bit brighter.

I last saw her in April at which time she said her cough seemed a bit better. We made plans to golf as we had in previous summers once the weather was better.

Jeane was no-nonsense and independent. She spoke often of her Alberta family and it was obvious that she was proud of her nieces and nephews.

I will miss her brilliant smile and sense of humour, her willingness to “coach” without making it seem like I needed help, and her witty remarks on the golf course.

Jeane, I hope you find a fun yoga class, a welcoming badminton group, and a beautiful golf course without sand traps and water hazards up in the big blue skies.

I will never forget you, Jeane.
