Audrey Evelyn Hyde (nee Nelson), died peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Rockyview General Hospital on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in Calgary, AB, at the age of 95.
Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband Ross Hyde, and her brothers Ronnie and Cliff from Calgary.
Audrey was born on August 18, 1922 in Calgary, AB to parents Nels and Florence (Bobbie) Nelson. She met her husband to be in Calgary and married on June 18, 1944. She worked as a comptometer operator at Dominion Bridge and in the accounting department at Sears Canada. Throughout her life, she welcomed four children, Rick Hyde (Colette), Donna Jones (Dennis), Tracey Hyde (Stephen Powell) and Toni Goulding (Gord).
She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Kelly (Joel), Kari (Jim), Danae (Russ), Shannon (Jeremy), Marcia, Colin, Diana, Lauren, Stephanie (Brett) and Shelby. She also leaves behind her beautiful and adored great-grandchildren Connie, Jordan, Sam, Tristan, Evelyn and another great-grandson on the way.
Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all considered her the most loving, nurturing, kind, and classy person anyone could ever know. She never had an unkind word to say and never asked for anything.
Audrey was an accomplished bridge player, skilled bowler and incredible cook. During the summer months she loved to spend time away with her children and grandchildren at their special get-away, the Hyde-Away at Nanoose Bay, BC, where the family enjoyed ice cream and fresh sea food.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Trinity Lodge and Mayfair Care Center for their dedication to Audrey’s care and to the staff at the Rockyview General Hospital on Ward 71 for their kind and caring support during Audrey’s last hours with us.
God bless you mom, grandma, great-grandma, you are the kindest soul we will all ever know and you will be missed more than you could ever imagine. We love you with all of our hearts.
