Lois Noreen Hollingsworth passed away peacefully Friday, at the age of 95.

We celebrate the life of Lois, wife to John (passed 1998) and mother to Greg (Shauna), Jan (Bruce), Barry (Judy) and Brad. Mom was born on a farm near Carstairs and later moved to Calgary. Her professional contributions include: Canadian Air Force (WWII), Seed analyst for the Government of Canada and Calgary School Board as Librarian helper. She obtained a Social Work Diploma from MRC graduating at 59 years old. After being widowed, she became the dear friend of Henry Clarke then Gerrit Dooge. Her last years were spent at Westview Lodge and Rocky Ridge Retirement Community.

We remain forever grateful for the loving care provided at these homes. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer.

    We were so sorry to hear about Lois’s passing. She was a wonderful lady, a great fried and companion to our Dad, Henry. Dad looked forward to his weekend visits on the Greyhound to Calgary to see Lois where they frequented many garage sales finding treasure after treasure. He would never fail to call his “Sweety” daily on the phone. She was so patient with him!
    We always thought of her as part of our family and enjoyed her visits. We will always have fond memories of her! Our sincere condolences to your family,
