HINE, Ashly Alvin “Radar”

August 18, 1985 – Esterhazy, Saskatchewan
August 31, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Ashly “Radar” Hine beloved fiancé, son, brother and uncle, passed away on August 31, 2018 at the age of 33 years.

Radar lived his life full throttle, full speed, and to its fullest. He lived hard, loved hard, and worked hard. He did his best to balance each lifestyle he lived: home with his fiancée and dogs, Saskatchewan with his family and on the road at work with his brothers. He loved spending time with his family, his friends, and his toys – going on the open road on his bike, hitting up trails on his quad, and blazing trails on his skidoo. Radar was a pipeliner – a specific breed of human. He took pride in what he did and how well he got a job done. He worked as hard as he played.

Somehow, he was naturally good at everything, even without practice or previous exposure. This is why everyone looked to him for a helping hand, he never left anyone stranded and was the first one to get his hands dirty – he was always there tools ready to go! He was the most generous person who showed his love through his actions. He did everything for everyone, especially his fiancée. If you gave Radar a task he would always do it, maybe in his own way, but nonetheless, he would do it. He was stubborn and determined, strong willed yet carefree. He had a way of making everyone feel important and anyone feel like they are his best friend or his brother. Everyone was his brother.

Radar was a farm boy at heart who loved back-roading in his truck with his guns in tow. He admired his nephews and nieces and shaped them through example – both good and bad. He is survived by his fiancée, Ivanka, his family, and a huge brotherhood.

A Celebration of Radar’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street S.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2:00p.m. Reception to follow Canadian Brew House, (7 Mahogany Plaza SE #700, Calgary, AB). The family would like everyone to wear plaid for Radar’s celebration of life. Condolences may be forwarded through
