HERRON, Stephen David (Steve)

July 30, 1957 – Victoria, British Columbia
July 25, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

After a brief battle with cancer, Steve passed away peacefully with his wife Marianne; son Jeff and daughter Danielle at his side. He quietly entered into the presence of God.

Steve touched many lives along his journey and made a difference too many. He was very skilled as a journeyman electrician but his greatest skill was his ability to make others laugh. He even had us in stitches near the end. Steve enjoyed many sports including playing hockey and golf. He will be missed by all.

Steve is survived by his wife Marianne; son Jeff; daughter Danielle (Andrew); mother Monica; sisters Patricia, Susan (Steve), Jennifer (Gary), Kathleen (Ron) and brother Paul (Shelley). Steve is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Steve very much. Steve was predeceased by his father Robert; brothers Kevin and Chris.

Funeral Services will be held at First Alliance Church, Harvest Room, (12345 – 40th Street S.E., Calgary, AB) on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Atrium. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In living memory of Steve Herron, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Deerfoot South, 12292 – 40 Street S.E., Telephone: 403-243-8200.

  3. Although it’s been some time, you’ve always had a place in my heart. I will always remember the good times and laughs we had at the Herron family get togethers and when you’d just come over to hang with Kev and us. You always made me feel welcome and loved as a kid. And for that, I thank you. Condolences to aunt Mare, the kids and the rest of the Herron clan. Love you uncle Steve.

  5. I am so sorry for your loss. Steve was always a bright light. “Riff” never had a bad word to say and was always up for anything. Hoping on a horse bareback at the Highwood river, jumpin off a dock in the dark in San Diego the year Jaws came out. He was the glue that held a lot of people together. Rest in Peace my friend I will miss you!
