HERRINGER, Bryan Dale

November 11, 1949 – Medicine Hat, Alberta
July 28, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Bryan Dale Herringer passed away unexpectedly in the early morning of July 28, 2018 at the age of 68 years with his loving wife Susan by his side. He is now home with his Lord and Saviour enjoying the hope of eternity that was his.

Bryan will be deeply missed by his wife Susan and their two daughters Sara and Lindsay. He will also be missed by his sister Shauna (Ron) Kinniburgh and their family, and his in-laws, Joan DePass, Kevin (Jacquie) DePass and Stewart DePass and their families.

Bryan was predeceased by his father Oscar Herringer and his mother Edna Herringer along with his previous wife Shirley and father-in-law, Clive DePass.

Bryan was born at 11 pm on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1949 in Medicine Hat, Alberta to Oscar and Edna Herringer. His early life was spent growing up on Bullivant Crescent in the Hat, spending time with his buddies and enjoying sports. The family moved to Taber, AB in 1966 when Bryan was in High School. It did not take long for Bryan to make a new circle of friends while becoming involved in school activities and sports teams in town.

Bryan had several passions in life. He really enjoyed the various businesses that he was involved in over his career spanning 40+ years. In the early stage of his career, he had opportunities that gave him a solid background in sales and management. This would serve him well in his future career that would see him in management positions with a multinational corporation and ultimately running two of his own companies.

Bryan enjoyed many sports growing up and into his adult life, but golf was his favourite. He worked hard at becoming a good golfer. What he enjoyed most about it was the relationships he developed with others through the sport. He developed life-long friendships with many of his golfing companions.

His real passion though was his family, whom he loved dearly. Bryan and Susan were married in 1988. Bryan always realized how lucky he was to meet and marry Susan, for she brought her daughter Sara into his life as well. Sara would be joined by Lindsay, making the family complete.

Funeral Services will be held at First Alliance Church – Harvest Room (12345 – 40th Street S.E., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Atrium. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Bryan’s name may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, 110-1525 Carling Ave, Ottawa, ON K1Z 8R9, www.heartandstroke.ca. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
