HENRY, Joseph Arthur “Daniel”

December 9, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

A wonderful man, Daniel Henry, passed away from our lives on Sunday evening.

As a young man, he worked as a hired hand for Clem Gardner, bringing in horses across the prairies from Bragg Creek to the Calgary Stampede. He served with PPCLi and was a Veteran of the Korean War until he was injured by a mortar bomb and was sent to a hospital in Japan. He spoke seven languages, including Japanese. He loved his Catholic Faith, bowling, horse racing, Irish dancing, CW, and fiddle music, loved ballroom dancing, pool, driving SUVs, playing crib, and most of all, he enjoyed kidding around with people. He interacted with all people and he loved life. He will be dearly missed.

He was survived by his three daughters, Debbie Croteau, Jacqueline (Joe) Copping, and Colleen Oliver; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward, Maurice, Leonard; and sister, Alvina LeStage.
