Sharon, this came to me as a big shock Sadly not knowing your poor health.Even know the visits we were far in between,I learned that you were a very strong determined woman with a big heart! The visits we had were very enjoyable and always looked forward to the next. One Silly thing that comes to mind each time I prepare Broccoli ,you showing the proper way to chop and cook the whole..I myself would use only the flower part, and ever since you pointed out the no waste part,I now use the stock and all and thoroughly enjoy! I’m very happy that you loved my father and shared many happy enjoyable years together. You both lived very healthy happy lives together and had so very much in common. Two people that loved laughed and lived life to the fullest. Now may you rest in paradise! Lots of love and will truly. Be missed.

Condolence from Janice and Jim Heck on April 18th, 2018 6:31 PM

Our deepest condolences go out to dear Randy and all the family. Sharon was an amazing woman! She was a stalwart contributor to the Triwood Community, and an enthusiastic and generous participant in most of its events throughout the years — whether dinner theatres, Tai Chi classes, Stampede barbecues, dances, or Canada’s 150th birthday celebration. Sharon rekindled my love of Canadian literature, and expertly led the Doris Govier Book Group during our monthly meetings. She had a sunny disposition, and no matter how difficult her health would eventually become, she smiled courageously and forged ahead to meet the challenges. At our family’s cabin, I planted the six tiny spruce trees which Sharon and Randy gave us from their yard two years ago. Every time I see those sturdy, flourishing trees reaching for the sunlight, I will think of Sharon and her shining example. May she rest in peace. I feel so blessed to have known her.

We had the honour of attending your wedding and enjoyed lots of visits to your home and garden for treats. We followed Sharon on lots of hikes as well as to pot-lucks meeting people from diverse places. Sharon’s light will remain in the memories of us all. Finally your visit to Victoria in February of this year will be a good memory for the future.

Dear Randy and Family,
We are in disbelieve and shocked to hear of Sharon’s passing. While she was not in the best of health lately we did not think it would lead to this outcome. She always bounced back before. WE WILL MISS OUR GOOD FRIEND . They needed another Angel in heaven so Sharon was called upon, because so was her nature, gentle and thoughtful and strong at the same time, in a quiet way. We feel honoured to have been her friends.

May she now rest in peace.

Dear Randy and Family,
We were shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Sharon. Our condolences to Randy, Susan, Steven, Karen and Heather and their families. Sharon was a kind, intelligent and creative lady. A few years after we moved to Kamloops we lost touch with Sharon and her family. We reestablished contact with Sharon and first met Randy a few years ago. Since then we have had enjoyable visits with Sharon and Randy in the summers when we have been in Calgary.
