  2. Lawrence Bogdon :

I’ve known Tony for many years. He was an early inductee to the WEDNESDAY WINOS. I kibitzed with him frequently, particularly about his lack of interest in White Wines–drinking a beer while the rest of us sipped our Bubbly! Also his preference for French Cabernet Sauvignon over American. I never let him forget that when I did a Blind Tasting of high end Cabs his FAVOURITES were Californian!!! It was nice knowing Tony and he will be missed by All. Sincere Condolences.

  4. Maria Rampling :

I have very fond memories of uncle Tony. Auntie pat and uncle Tony would come over each year and stay with us at my mum and dads (Pam and peter) in England. I used to watch uncle Tony light his pipe take a few puffs then have to light it again and sitting with him in the garden as he wasn’t allowed to smoke it in the house. As we grew up I remember him getting me to taste red wines but he never converted me I’m still a white wine drinker. We had 3 children of our own Jaime Daniel and Lucy which they both enjoyed getting to know from babies to teenagers and hearing all about their progress and antics. I hope the day goes well on the 28th and sorry we can’t be there but will be in our thoughts and please raise and drink a glass of red from us love and thoughts Maria David Jaime Daniel & Lucy and a big hug from us to auntie pat x
