HAUCA, Peter George

February 24, 1929 – Boian, Alberta
October 22, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Peter passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the age of 89 years.

Peter was an auto mechanic who went back to school to upgrade his high school. He then went on to get a Masters in Education. He started teaching in Vegreville, AB for two years than got a teaching job in Calgary at Crescent Heights High School. He taught mostly at Bowness High School, until he retired. After retirement he still subbed for five years until he turned 70. He loved his students and still talked about how he missed teaching. Peter loved to play violin, and even made a few himself. He played at McDonalds for Happy Days, at his bank and many other locations. Peter was kind, generous and always smiling.

Peter is survived by his wife Alma, daughters Valerie (Robert) Dielschneider, Tammy (Wayne) Farris; grandchildren Roy, Brandyn, Kristyn (Josh), and Megan; great-grandchild Elliette. As well as his sister Patricia MacDonald.

Peter was predeceased by his parents George and Eleana Hauca; Sister Dorothy, and brothers George, Charlie, Nick, and step-brother Edward, step-sister Rose.

At Peter’s request there will not be a funeral service at this time. Condolences may be forwarded through The family would like to thank the Staff at the Foothills Medical Centre and the Dulcina Hospice for all the wonderful care.   3. So sorry for your loss. Loved going to McDonalds and seeing Peter and Alma there. Good conversations were always had. We enjoyed listening to Peter and Alma’s stories. Gone but never forgotten. He is teaching the angels how to play the violin.
