  2. Rod Millican :

Dear John, Barbara, Sue, Russ and all family,
Gwen was Auntie Gwen to me all through life. She was the dearest of friend to my mom Donna for 77 years. Auntie Gwen was always loving and kind to me, and also to my wife Lillian and our three children Luke, Michelle, and Stephanie. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. You all mean very much to me. Auntie Gwen modelled unconditional love through her life, unfailing affirmation of the best in others – she always cared for people and made them feel loved and special. I stand with all of you at this time of loss, remembering a very beautiful person who touched all our lives in numerous ways; God’s peace be with you.

    With all my love,
    Rod Millican and family

A beautiful firecracker has entered the pearly gates of heaven. There will never again be such a lively spirit as Gwen’s (though her daughter, my dear friend Barb, comes mighty close). To the entire Hantho family- I am so very sorry for your loss.

  4. Jeff Millican :

Auntie Gwen keen of mind, current and topical yet blessed of a reverence of history. Teacher, born August 27th, shared that date with LBJ, who once he was free of the Presidency waxed poetically of teaching being the highest calling. Eileen Pearce’s son John shares your birthdate too. So I know his soft kind soul is filled with emotions. Dr. John and Russ we are lucky men to have such strong women in our lives. Barb & Sue, the horseback riding, all the yearly visits, that Scottish/Norwegian heritage.
Auntie Gwen, what a pleasure you were, God’s speed.

Although Paul and I had only met Gwen once, many years ago, we’ve heard many great stories about the wonderful Hantho family over the years! She sounds like a wonderful, loving mom, grandma, great grandma and friend! If our dear friend, Barb, is anything like her, she must have been very special and lots of fun!
We send you all our love and our hearts will be with you on Sunday

We are so sorry for your loss. Luckily I picked up the phone and called Gwen a couple of months ago and had a good talk and laughter. Having seen Sue a couple of years ago, we also enjoyed past times. She always called me Marion the Librarian and Dr. John brought three of my children into this world. A very dear family and I am so lucky to have known you!
