Condolence from Sean Kelso on February 19th, 2016 5:56 PM

I am absolutely gutted to say the least. Christy was such an amazing person and I am so fortunate I was able to enjoy her company on so many occasions. I will dearly miss her sense of humour and electric smile the most. Her love of UFC (Randy Couture), the Winnipeg Jets (Jim Kyte) and her pension for always making any outing a great time. RIP dear friend, until we see you again.

Condolence from PF on February 19th, 2016 9:11 PM

I am terribly shocked and very sorry to her and the family. I talked to her and laughed on the 16th. Laughing and talking about places to move to. We watched a movie and talked about the storyline.
I am so sorry I didn’t know at all what her struggles were. I wish I could’ve have done something, anything at all, to rewind time.

My deepest condolences.

I will miss you Christy,
Phone Friend

Condolence from Barb Benoit on February 19th, 2016 9:23 PM

Our deepest sympathies to Christy’s family. No words can express how sad we feel at this difficult time. We have fond memories of Christi as she grew up hanging around our house. We watched her grow from a young girl to a bubbling teenager and into a beautiful young woman. Memories are forever and can never be taken away…… RIP Christy.

Condolence from Eileen Huggins on February 19th, 2016 10:15 PM

How do you describe a star that burned so brightly and so hot that it extinguished itself before it’s time?

Christy was an amazing, energetic, funny, charismatic, huge presence that will be felt for many years to come. Her contagious laughter and big bright smile were compelling to say the least. I remember exactly where I was the day (night) that you were born. Your Mom and Dad had gone out so I was babysitting Kerry and Tracey, and Uncle Mike called me to tell me that you were coming NOW….It seemed even from that day you were destined to burn bright as you were born on Christmas Eve. I pray my girl that you have found peace, I hope you know just how much you were loved and now your star will be burning brightly from the heavens..

To Uncle Mike, Leah, Kerry, Tracey, Brendan, Colin, Conner ( and families) and Wendy all I can do is send you my love and condolences….She will be forever loved and forever missed….Rest well my darling girl until we meet again…..Eileen

Condolence from Dave Neufeld on February 20th, 2016 12:48 PM

My heart weaps. I had the pleasure of working with Christy. That girl cracked me up! Witty. Irreverent. Energetic. Mischievous. Caring. Kind. She left a powerful impression on so many of us. It is hard to fathom that she is no longer with us. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends. I regret that I will not be in town for the service. Yes, there will be tears: but may they be wiped away by the smiles and laughter inspired by her memory. Rest In Peace.

Condolence from Doug&Addie Barclay on February 21st, 2016 9:33 AM

As neighbours we grew to know and appreciate Christy as a wonderful teenager and young women. She was the best babysitter for our childern. The first time she meet our childern one was shy and would not come out from under the table. Christy picked up some toys and joined the shyone under the table and was an instant hit. We cannot adequately express our sense of loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Condolence from Don and Terry Pangman on February 21st, 2016 10:36 AM

Condolence from JSchreiner on February 21st, 2016 11:50 AM

My heart just aches. Christy was such a beautiful person inside and out. Her magnetic personality and infectious laugh always made being with her the best part of your day even if it was just a brief visit. We would always run into each other in the most random out of town places like Whistler (great weekend), airport lounges and gas stations. I absolutely adored you and looked up to you since you were great role model for professional successful women. The world lost a very sweet and special person and I know she will have an entourage of fans wherever she is. Goodbye girlie, until we meet again. xo

Condolence from J. Hagel on February 22nd, 2016 7:29 AM

So sad. I worked with Christy a number of years ago, and each year we collaborated in the CUPS program in “adopting” a family or two Christmastime. It was such fun and something we both loved to do. I can remember a day when she came back to the office from a visit at CUPS and said that one of the little guys told her that her hair smelled like summer! Looking back, she WAS summer – sunny and bright. I am sorry for your loss.

Condolence from Carlene Donnelly on February 24th, 2016 9:01 AM

We all in Calgary would love to be there as well on Friday but instead we will be deeply thinking of each of you and wishing you comfort and peace in having Christy for 43 years. She indeed had the brightest light and was such a generous and fun person. We are at a loss but together we will stay connected to keep her beautiful spirit alive

Condolence from Barbara Tien, PREP on February 24th, 2016 12:58 PM

To Christy’s Beloved Son, Parents & Family
Your Mom & daughter was a gem. From the 1st day we met her, she embraced our cause of helping children with Down syndrome. There was nothing that she wouldn’t do to make our fundraiser a success. We had 10 years of partnering with the best – Christy. Our favourite memories are when she came to PREP and got so excited about seeing the kids. She genuinely accepted and loved people for who they are. A woman in motion, she just seemed to do everything for everyone with so much energy and caring. Know that many hearts are sad in Calgary. We remember her with great respect, much admiration and sincere love.
Barbara Tien

Condolence from Robynne Monney on March 5th, 2017 7:10 PM

My name is Robynne Monney and the beautiful Christie hall was not only my auntie but also my best friend. She helped me through out my whole life and was always there for me without any judgement. No matter how upset or how sick I may have been, the second I talked to her I’d feel better. She always knew what to say to make everything better again. For a huge part of my life she was my rock. I could have accomplished a lot of things without her. The day I found out what happened to her completely broke me inside. I may not be able to see her but I know I can still talk to her and ask her for advice. She will ALWAYS be in my thoughts and prayers. I know she is looking down on me, giving me the strength I need to succeed in anything I choose to do. I love you and miss you more then words auntie and I feel you with me each and every day. I know your smiling down on my everyday and I am so blessed to call you my best friend and most amazing auntie in the world. Stay golden auntie. <3
