  6. To all the Sisters of Chairity of St Louis and those that mourn the loss of Sr. Gerry. I was blessed to have worked at the St. Johns retirement home in Calgary. Over time one of the Sisters would pass, and I would ready for a funeral. What struck me most was that there was sadness and tears but the overarching feeling that that person has gone home to be with our father, and they were happy for her. Welcome home Sr. Gerry.

  8. Sister Gerry was a teacher of mine way back in the 70’s in St. Albert. She was my favorite teacher back then. We were a bunch of sullen, cynical, limit-testing, just becoming teenagers – I guess we all know the type – and we never made it easy for her . Even with all this, she was always so happy, so funny, and would always have time to listen to whatever world-ending problem we had. I have had many blessings in my life, many that I don’t deserve, and Sister Gerry is certainly one of them!

  10. Dear Jim and family,
Our condolences on Sister Geraldine’s passing. When I saw her picture it reminded me again of how much she looked like Aunt Loretta and Mom too. I have a picture of Geraldine in her red jacket and a big smile on her face from a Hagel reunion we attended in the early 80s. I know Geraldine will be missed by many. Keeping her and all of her family in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Adelle & Adrian
