  3. I was so sorry to hear of Marilyn’s passing way too soon. I knew Marilyn and worked with her during my Calgary 2000 days in developing Calgary’s Cooking mobile kitchen as a legacy project. Marilyn was a very special angel on her time on earth bringing dignity, education and sustenance to those less fortunate or who needed a hand up in life… not a hand out.
She worked tirelessly for others above self and I was privileged to have known her. She will be missed I’m sure by many and my deepest condolences to her family. She is now with her beloved husband in a special place.

  4. I did not know your mother very well personally, but what I do remember is that she was caring and warm. Of her servant’s heart, she saw a need and met it. Many people have been blessed by her generosity, to give of herself.

  5. A true GEM, a lady who will always be known as a beautiful person who made a HUGE difference in this world. I’m proud to have known Marilyn and to have her teach me how to make a difference as well….Community Kitchen – helping people to cook healthy meals economically; Brilliant idea of Spinz A Round that is still making good use of excellent fresh produce that would otherwise be in the dumster; and the Good Food Box – again fresh produce but at a reasonable cost. So many lives were touched by this beautiful caring person.

We were filled great sadness when we heard of Marilyn’s passing; we will miss her smile, kindness to all she met and her sense of humor. She was the mother hen of all the mother hens, always caring, always making sure you were eating. We are also filled with great joy as we know she has been suffering for a long time and now she is no longer in pain. She is now in the arms of our Father YHWH enjoying paradise with Bill waving from above. She deserves this rest. We are so going to miss her here on earth. Rest well dear sweet lady.

  7. Joanne Cousens Alburger :

Auntie Marilyn was in my life, my whole life, and she will be very missed. I often see loved ones who have gone to heaven and I don’t know if it’s just my imagination or if it’s anything else, but I thought I would share what I saw while thinking of Auntie Marilyn in her new home. I saw uncle Bill welcoming her, standing in front of her beautiful home he had built for them, and he had that little crooked, half smile, with twinkling eyes, that he often had. There were a whole bunch of tables set in front of the house for a potluck picnic welcome meal for auntie Marilyn. I didn’t recognize all the people and somehow in my head I asked, “who are all these people? “ And the answer came that they were all the guardian angels of all the children and the down and outers and the struggling people that auntie Marilyn has helped! And my uncle Wayne , who is no longer crippled, Was there playing saxophone with his jazz band. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ love from Joanne
