November 26, 1924 – January 25, 2019

At the ripe age of 94, and a few days short of their 72nd wedding anniversary, Arnold passed away surrounded by his loving family. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Arnold leaves a legacy of loving and kindness.

Arnold was born and raised in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and worked with his father William and brother Edward in the family business, Grobman and Sons Department store. He served the communities he lived in with great passion, serving on the boards of the Battleford Union Hospital, Western Development Museum, United Way, Kinsmen Band, Junior Chamber of Commerce and a term as an alderman. He was very proud to be from North Battleford and to have been able to serve the community. Many memorable summers were enjoyed in the family cabin at Days Beach on Jackfish Lake and winters in Peoria, AZ. Later in life, mom and dad moved to Calgary.

Arnold is survived by his loving wife, Muriel, children, Linda (Ron), Mark, Jeff (Helly) Janis (Brian) and Barry (Alyson); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Norma) and sister-in-law, Doreen.

Funeral Services will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, (North East Corner of Highway 22X & 37th Street S.W.) on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. with interment to follow at the 37th Street Jewish Cemetery. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Jewish Family Services, Seniors Programming, or the charity of your choice. We would like to thank the staff at Agecare Glenmore, Kristianne and Alain for their kindness to dad.

Arrangements in care of the CHEVRA KADISHA OF CALGARY, Telephone: 403-244-4717.
