AJ Grainger of Calgary, AB, passed away on June 29, 2018 at the age of 92 years.

AJ was born in Lacombe, AB, on October 15, 1925, he had one sister, Margaret Ruth. After his father passed away AJ continued to run the family farm with his mother Agnes. Some years later AJ and his mother moved south to Dewinton then settled in Calgary. AJ was a wonderful son and took care of this mother until she passed on July 9, 1994.

AJ was a hard worker and was always humble. He was known for being punctual, respectful, and courteous to others. A man of few words but spoke clearly by way of his actions. AJ enjoyed many things including: travelling, camping, meeting for coffee with friends, working on his projects, and living an active lifestyle.

AJ is survived by his daughter Veronica (Jang); grandchildren, Grace (Neil), Douglas, and Jennifer (Brad).

AJ was predeceased by his father, August Geinger; mother, Agness Geinger; and sister, Margaret Ruth Yost (nee Geinger) of Red Deer.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W., Calgary, AB), on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to immediately follow at the funeral home. Graveside Service to follow reception at Alto Reste Cemetery (101 26575 Hwy 11 , Red Deer, AB.)
