July 16, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Bill, beloved husband of Valerie Jean Gillespie (nee Smith) of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the age of 80 years.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Valerie Jean; sons, David and Greg (Arlene); his daughter Launa Hermann (Walter); and his grandchildren, Madeline Hermann, Jimmy Gillespie, Daniel Hermann and Nikki Gillespie.

Funeral Services will be held at Bethany Chapel (3333 Richardson Way S.W., Calgary, AB) on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the chapel. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

We shared many laughs and stories of our working together over the years. Very pleasant and gentle man to have known and worked with. My condolences to the family.
