Condolence Messages

  1. As a high school friend of their son Merv I was welcomed into many Gilbert family outings by Ned and Lyn. Ned hosted ski outings in the winter and chaperoned us on both successful and not so successful cycling trips in the mountains in the summer. He was always there to support our teenage explorations. He took to heart the concept that the child is father of the man. We youngsters reaped the benefits.

  2. Ned was a great contributor to All of us at the University of Calgary and the Calgary Community. We especially appreciated the very positive contributions he made to the Staff and Students in the faculty of Management at U of C.
A wonderful man who will be missed. Sincere condolences to his family

Very sad to hear of Ned’s passing. He was a true gentleman with a keen intellect. He generously shared his vast knowledge of the Canadian oil and gas industry and was a tireless supporter and contributor to the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen of which he was a member for over 70 years. He will be missed!
