August 2, 2019 – Airdrie, Alberta

Robert Galbraith of Irricana, Alberta, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the age of 79 years.

Bob was a Truck Driver in the Oilfields, as well as for the Department of National Defense. He had a passion for driving, and upon retirement he remained active transporting vehicles for various dealers and friends. Bob had a true love for animals, as a young man Bob participated in various Horse activities such as Roping and Showing; he also had his own boarding stables. Marg and Bob also always had dogs, his love for them was evident to those that witnessed the lengths he went to make them a part of the family. Bob and Marg enjoyed winters in Arizona with longtime friends Richard and Marjorie, as well as Ken and Jo. He also enjoyed attending Nascar races and Collector Car Auctions. When Bob was sixty-nine he was as active as most fifty year olds; he took the opportunity to attend the Sturgis Bike Rally as well as strap into a Legends Race Car for an evening.

Bob is survived by the love of his life Margaret (Marg); his daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen Galbraith and Jim of Calgary, AB; his sons and daughter-in-laws, Rob Galbraith and Vicky of Calgary, AB, Dean Galbraith and Muriel of Calgary, AB, Ken Klassen and Jo-Anne of Irricana, AB, Jeff Klassen and Treena of Medicine Hat, AB; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sister Sheryl and brother Jim; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bob was predeceased by two sons; his parents and four brothers-in-law.
