FINDLAY, Alan Napier

July 30, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness to announce the unexpected passing of Alan at home on July 30, 2018.

Alan will be deeply missed by his wife, Leslie. Alan and Leslie had many happy memories of their travels throughout the years with friends and visiting family in Scotland. Alan enjoyed golfing, music and cooking and entertaining at home with friends and family. When Alan retired he became very interested in creating their backyard with a special interest in roses.

Alan is survived by his wife, Leslie; sister, Irene (Rene); niece, Laura (Niall) and nephew, Robin (Jean) together with grand nephews and nieces in Scotland.

A reception for Alan will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at the Carriage House, Palm Desert Room between 2 and 4 pm.

    Dad’s little brother joined his sisters in Canada to have a better life, in which I think he succeeded.On my first visit in 71 we drove from Winnipeg to Vancouver Island in a Pontiac Firebird,great car ,great journey ,great company.Alan and Leslie were due to visit in October, so sorry that will not happen..Thinking of Leslie in this difficult time…Robin and all the Scottish family..
