FALKOWSKI, Stanley

August 28, 1945 – Bransk, Poland
November 28, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta

Our beloved Husband and father, Stanley Falkowski of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2015, after a hard fought, courageous battle with Cancer, at the age of 70 years.

Stanley was born is Bransk, Poland in 1945, and immigrated to Canada in 1971, where he reunited with his High School sweetheart, Veronica and married soon after. He joined Standard General Inc., where he would have a career that spanned 40 plus years. He was well respected by his peers, from laborers to presidents of various companies.

He loved the outdoors, especially the beauty of the rolling hills of the Foothills and the majestic Rocky Mountains. As an avid lover of the western lifestyle, he loved going to the rodeo, especially the chuckwagon races, where he met many of the riders, including his favorite Kelly Sutherland. This past summer, he visited his birthplace and beloved country of Poland after 44 years of being away. He spoke of going back for many years, and he felt that this was the time. He will be sadly missed by many.

Stanley is survived by his wife Veronica, his children James and Beata, his sisters Teresa, Wanda and Irene, numerous nephews and cousins, including Bogdan, Jozef and Jennifer Ulaszonek. He was predeceased by his father Jozef and his mother Jadwiga.

He wanted us to personally thank Daniel Heng and his team at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. They were extremely loving and supportive during his treatment and treated us like family.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 8:00 p.m.
