ELLIOTT, Thomas Henry

August 8, 1933 – Sarnia, Ontario
December 4, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Thomas Elliott, beloved husband of Patricia Elliott of Calgary, AB passed away on December 4, 2018 at the age of 85 years.

Thomas was a faith based, hardworking, dedicated family man who had a passion for music. He enjoyed collecting and listening to vinyl records, had learned to play the violin at a young age and over time taught himself how to play the guitar, banjo, organ and harmonica. With a green thumb for vegetable and flower gardening he placed food on the table and surrounded the family home with beauty. A salesman through and through, he would easily strike up a conversation with anyone, endearing himself to his customers and in later years his caregivers. He started out delivering ice, milk and bread with a horse and wagon then moved onto coffee truck services and managing vending services, concluding his career with territorial confectionery sales until retirement.

Besides his loving wife, Thomas is survived by his children Barbara Barclay, Donna Rohl, Michael Elliott (Char), Patrick Elliott (Mary), Daniel Elliott (Lori), Leah Robbins (Chric); his grandchildren Crystal, Amanda, Casey, Allan, Melissa, Anita, Kira, Kimberly, Katrina, Hannah, Heather; fourteen great-grandchildren, his sister Pat Brown (Bill), as well as numerous extended family members.

He was predeceased by his son David Elliott, grandson David Johnson and his sister Emily Robbins (Fred) and son-in-law Ron Barclay.

Honoring Thomas’ wishes a private cremation will take place on December 8th, 2018.

Thinking about my sister’s and brother and of course Mom. Their unending dedication and ongoing support and hard work in caring for Dad over the last several years speaks for itself. Few people are surrounded in life by that kind of love. May you all rest a little easier. Love and prayers.

Our condolences on the passing of Mr. Elliott. Many happy hours were spent in the back yard of the Elliott houshold in London, Ontario during my pre-teen years. I remember Mr. Elliott’s coffee truck, quiet sense of humour and his obvious love for his family. Rest well Mr. Elliott.
