Condolence Messages

  1. Love and condolences to my cousins, Laura and Dale. Unfortunately, many years have passed since we have been together.
I have fond memories of Uncle Mel and Aunt Joanne as I was growing up. Always a visit at Christmas, and Uncle Mel at harvest time.
I remember when you two came into our lives, it was a joy to watch you grow up.
I remember Laura at my Wedding and Dale on a visit to the farm.
Aunt Joanne was a very kind to me and always wanted to visit. I know that she was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother.
I am sorry for your loss.

  2. Dale and Laura and family Thank-you for letting me know of your mom’s passing. Your family were the best neighbors! I remember shortly after we moved in across the street your mom and dad coming over with a plate of cookies to welcome us. I loved watching you two grow up. Your mom was the person to call on for help with anything.. babysitting, a cup of sugar, or help righting the Christmas tree when it had fallen over.(I think you were part of those times Dale) and I think it fell over more than once!
Your mom was a very good friend. After your dad was gone, she and I went to the Carriage House for a meal occasionally. Your mom was game to do most time we went to Okotoks to watch a polo match..anything to do with horses, she was there!
I can’t imagine how many girls she touched through Guides.
As you know she and I went to Arizona a few years back. We had such an enjoyable time. I will always remember the wonderful prime rib supper in the restaurant overlooking the Grand Canyon..we shared an order and then when it came, the cuts of meat were so large that we thought they must not have heard that we ordered a dinner to share. The beef was melt in your mouth tender and we both loved it..turned out that the meal we’d shared was just 1 portion..we both said we’d like to go there again!
I will miss your mom so much. And I send my sympathy to you ..she was a wonderful mom, and you will miss her terribly. God Bless you both Laura and Dale.

  3. We will miss you Aunt Jo, so much, and we are very grateful to have been able to spend so much time with you over the past few years and these last weeks before you passed away peacefully.
Our family all share many happy memories of our fun visits to your home Aunt Jo, to see you and Uncle Mel and our cousins Dale and Laura and our trips out to Vulcan together to see our Great-Grandmother Dunham on her farm. We will miss your sense of humor and your laughter, Aunt Jo, and your delightful stories about your childhood and growing up years. Whenever we see a beautiful horse running free in the countryside, we will smile and think of you for we know how much you loved horses. We will always remember you fondly. Our sincere condolences to Dale and Laura and family.
With our love always, Kim and Keith MacLean and family.
