Our beloved Ena passed away peacefully with family by her side in Calgary on Monday, September 14, 2015.

She was born the youngest of twelve children on May 31, 1944 to Becky and Harrison Powderface. Ena was a hardworking, dedicated mother that enjoyed and lived life to the fullest.

Ena leaves behind a grandson who she raised as her own, Domenic and a granddaughter Faith; three daughters, Vernadee (Darren), Charmaine, and Naomi (Edward); four sons, Gatine (Agnes), Harrison (Melrose), Healey (Olivia), and Leroy; thirty-seven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; a brother Sykes (Wanita); four nieces, Ramona, Margery, Jeanette, and Lena; a nephew Art; and her trusted pet, Stranger. She was predeceased by her husband, Gatine Dixon on January 3, 1980; her parents, three sons, two daughters, five grandchildren, two brothers and eight sisters.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Gatine and Agnes Dixon (Morley, AB) on Thursday, September 17 and Friday, September 18, 2015. In respect to Christine’s wishes her casket will only be open at the wake. Funeral Services will be held at Morley United Church (Morley, AB) on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB).

In living memory of Christine Dixon, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES.
