May 30, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Alice’s family is saddened to announce her passing in Calgary, AB on Wednesday, May 30, 2019 at the age of 102.

Alice’s passion in life was people. She was keenly interested in the lives and welfare of others, giving of her time and energy thoughtfully and selflessly wherever and whenever she could. Alice is survived by her sister Doris Oliver, her children Barbara (Herb) Strohbach, Margot Ingle (Jack Hayes), Roger (Shiela) Ingle, and step-daughter Carol Haika; as well as her grandchildren, Grant (Denice) Strohbach, Virginia, Laura, and Hilary Ingle, Merissa Haika and Chris (Becky) Haika, their children Ashton and Blakely. Her absence will also be felt by her large extended family of Reikies and Tuers and her many longtime friends. We are all grateful for the many ways in which she was a part of our lives. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those who were involved in Alice’s care over her years at The Lodge at Valley Ridge and her final days at the Sarcee Hospice.

At Alice’s request, no memorial service or celebration of life will be held. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family gathering at a later date in Ontario.
