DEISMAN, Roy Alfred

Roy beloved husband of Bernice Deisman of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the age of 80 years.

Roy was a hard working and very successful business owner. He took great pride in his stores, Red Rooster in Okotoks, Bear Mountain Coffee Shops as well as many more. He also spent many years at Sunshine Ski Village as a ski patroller. Roy enjoyed skiing, fishing, travel, family, hiking, work, adventure and antique hunting. He was one of most loved and respected men, with a great sense of humour and this was clear to anyone that met him. Roy was a wonderful caring father, husband, uncle, brother and grandfather. Roy made huge achievements in any undertaking.

As Roy would always say “Live, Love and Travel!”

Besides his loving wife, Bernice (Nissi), Roy is survived by his children David, Terry and Peri-lee; his grandchildren Kyle, Ashley, Klayton Jeremy and Brianna; great-grandchildren Calon and Rosie; his brother Wally Deisman; sister Lynne Becker; nieces and nephews Nicole, Christopher and Trevor Noel, Mike Brooks, Lori Gibson, Wade and Nora Deisman, Dale Martin, Donna Martin, Kieth, Corine, Janice and Ron Becker, Doug and Tommy Reed. Special friends include Mickey and Ron Kolidy, Andreas and Sophie Rauch, Loreen Perry and Derrick Reed and Margaret Ramage and Sandy Thorburn.

Roy was predeceased by his parents and sister Margarete Deisman.

A Celebration of Roy’s Life will be held at McKenzie Lake Beach Club (16199 McKenzie Lake Way, S.E., Calgary, AB) on Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.  If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Lung Association, P.O.
