Joan Davidson of Calgary, AB, was promoted to glory on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at the Agapé Hospice in Calgary after a brief battle with cancer, at the age of 77 years.

Joan served for many years with Alberta Land Titles in Calgary until her retirement. She is survived by her loving church family and several cousins.

A Celebration of Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Salvation Army Glenmore Temple, 921 – 68 Avenue S.W., Calgary.  A Reception will follow at the Church.

    Joan, her sister Joyce, and I were childhood friends. Those friendships lasted all through the years to the present day. For years, Joan’s mother was the cook at The Salvation Army senior’s residence. It was situated exactly where the Agape Hospice stands today. Joan and I spent many after school times visiting her mother at her work. Interesting that Joan’s last days were spent at the same geographical location. Being Joan’s friend meant many good times of celebrating and having fun. How sad that her immediate family are all gone, but how wonderful to know that, as Christians, we will all meet in heaven.
