August 12, 1921 – Giovinazzo, Italy
June 6, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Anna D’Attolico of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully at sunrise on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the age of 96 years.

Anna was born on August, 12, 1921 in Giovinazzo, Italy. It was there that she met the love of her life Oronzo and married in July of 1944. Anna spent the early years of marriage raising their three daughters as Oronzo worked abroad to support their family. In 1960 Anna along with her daughters immigrated to Calgary to join Oronzo. Anna worked hard adapting to life in Calgary until Oronzo’s passing in 1987. Anna took great pride in being a “Nonna” to her six grandchildren and even more so to her eleven great-grandchildren. She loved to give and receive hugs and kisses from them. Those will be dearly missed.

Anna is survived by her sister Rosaria and brothers, Francesco and Giuseppe from Italy; her three daughters and sons-in-law, Grazia and Davide Colonna, Caterina and Natale De Palo, and Teresa DiStefano and her husband; six grandchildren, Marco, Antony, Mariangela, Anna, Vince and Lorenzo, eleven great-grandchildren, David, Zackary, Annemarie, Anthony, Matthew, Sophie, Thomas, Danilo, Joseph, Jack and Rocco.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (5340 – 4th Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. Graveside to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Reception to follow at the church. Condolences may be forwarded through
