DAL MOLIN, John “Johnny”

May 1, 1936 – Fonte Alto, Italy

August 10, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

John Dal Molin of Calgary, AB, left his life peacefully on Saturday, August, 10, 2019 at the age of 83 years with his good friends Norma Pockar and Joanne McDiarmid by his side.

John was born in Fonte Alto, Italy on May 1, 1936. He immigrated to Canada alone in 1954, at the age of 18 years. Johnny was very proud of his 40 years of work as an artistic stonemason for Pockar Masonry until his retirement. He then pursued his passion for golf (including a hole in one) and weekly trips to the casino. Johnny enjoyed living in Bridgeland all of his life – and it was memorable that it was in Bridgeland at the George Boyack where he passed away.

John is survived by his sisters Gina (Achille) Montagner, Assunta (Livio) Guadagnini and Dorotea (Adriano) Tessari; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends both in Italy and Canada. Johnny remained close to his family all his life, visiting them whenever he could. His three sisters also visited him here in Calgary.

As per John’s wishes no service will occur in Calgary. Cremation has taken place and John will be returned to Fonte Alto by Norma and Joanne as he requested. Interment will take place with his parents and other family members.   Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

A special thank you to Linda and Rigbe for their care of Johnny over his past two years at the George Boyack.

In living memory of John Dal Molin, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, CALGARY, AB, T2E 2V6,   Telephone: 403-243-8200.
