January 22, 1948 – Edmonton, Alberta
October 20, 2017 – Calgary, AB
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Candace Cuttance at the age of 69.
Those who knew Candace will miss her friendship, aptitude for listening, positive attitude, and joy for life. Candace loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and relished traveling with friends. Like her mother, Candace had a talent for artistry and a strong creative desire; her first love was pottery, followed by painting with acrylics and watercolour. She enjoyed volunteering for a number of years with the Calgary Humane Society in the area of surgery.
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Candace was the proud daughter of a R.C.A.F. Captain who, along with her family, were stationed in various locals throughout Canada and Europe.
Candace raised her daughter Morgan on the farm outside of Carseland and made the move to Calgary when Morgan went to University. She spent many years working for Agrium (Cominco) first in Calgary, then Carseland, and finished her career at the head office in Calgary. Candace took great pleasure in traveling both near and far including Egypt, Portugal, Kenya and Tanzania, and most recently Osoyoos.
Candace will be missed dearly by her daughter, Morgan; son-in-law, Steven; grandsons; Asher and Emric; the Taylor family, who are an extension of her own family, and many cherished friends.
Candace was predeceased by her father, Gerald; her mother, Lois; and her brother, Richard.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at The Lake House – Lake Bonavista (747 Lake Bonavista Drive SE). In honour of Candace’s love of really good food we ask that you join us for lunch at the Lake House following the tributes.
