CUTHBERTSON, Roberta (Robbie) (nee Walker)

March 1, 1947 – Trinidad
February 4, 2019 – Houston, Texas

Robbie died peacefully at the age of 71 on the morning of Monday, February 4, 2019 in Houston, Texas where she was pursuing medical treatment. She was born in Trinidad to Leonard and Noreen Walker (Cummings) and was primarily raised in Calgary.

Robbie was a strong and independent woman and a single mother who toiled relentlessly and fought ferociously for the benefit of her children. She was a hockey mom and a baseball mom who fit in with every group. Robbie was the loving spouse and life partner of Jim Surbey of Calgary and is survived by her three sisters, Shirley Walker and Jeanie Walker both of Montreal and Beverley Russell of Duncan B.C. Robbie was the loving mother of three sons, Graydon Douglas, James Drew, and Ryan Lindsay, all of Calgary, and a caring and kind stepmother to Mike, Chris and Kath Surbey of Calgary. She was a doting grandmother to her six grandchildren, Kaleigh, Ashley, Shayna, Talia, Ryland and Kenzie all of Calgary.

Robbie’s 72nd birthday and her life of loving friends and family will be celebrated on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB).
