CURRIE, Annie Isabel (nee Anderson)

May 5, 1914 – Calgary, Alberta

March 10, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

On Sunday, March 10, 2019, Annie Isabel Currie (nee Anderson) of Calgary, AB, was received into the loving arms of God in her 105th year, after a life well lived.

Steadfast in her faith and in love of family, mom was a remarkable example for those who have had the privilege of living within her circle, or felt her warm hugs.

Left to mourn are daughters, Beth Elliot (Barry), Heather Rasmuson (Dale); daughter-in-law Carolyn Currie; and son-in-law Cam Hofstetter; as well as grandchildren Paul, Pam, Sean, Sheri, Scott, James, Nick, Victoria and Oliver, and twelve great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband William; sons, James and Paul; and daughter Mary Jane.

Mom was a testament to 2 Timothy 4:6, I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have kept the faith.

A Celebration of Ann’s life will be held at St. Matthew’s United Church (2039 – 26A Street S.W., Calgary, AB) Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

Special thanks to Cecile Griggs and the team at Wentworth Manor who provided such compassionate care to mom in her declining years. We will be forever grateful.

In living memory of Ann Currie, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB, T2S 2L5, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
