CRAIG, Margaret

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Craig on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the age of 85 years, 12 days shy of her 86th birthday.

Margaret was born in Vegreville, AB, the firstborn of three children of Dora and Metro. She grew up in East Coulee, AB, and moved to Calgary, AB, after completing her schooling. She worked, travelled and lived an active lifestyle. It was through her love of curling that she met the love of her life, Robert. They married and had one daughter, Colleen. Together as a family, they camped, hiked and snowshoed in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Margaret was an active and faithful member of the Anglican Church.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert; daughter, Colleen (Edward); grandson, Tyson; brother, George (Bev); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Nick (Mona).

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff of 3 West at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre and the PD Clinic at the Sheldon M. Chumir Centre. Funeral Services will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church located in the Prince of Faith Lutheran Church (2523 – 56th Street N.E., Calgary, AB) on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
