Larry Sutherland Cooper, beloved husband of Doris of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the age of 87 years.

Larry was proud to be born and raised in Calgary. He was an accomplished athlete and worked for years in the Alberta Oil and Gas Industry.

Besides his loving wife of sixty-five years, Doris, Larry is survived by three daughters, Cory Cooper Hansen (Stan Howard) of Goodyear, AZ, Carol Simpson (Mark) of Okotoks, AB, and Catherine Cooper of Calgary, AB; granddaughters, Kelsey Hansen (Brian) of Goodyear, AZ, Bree-Anne Falcon (Ben) of Barrington, IL, Marcie Kirk (Dan) of Okotoks, AB, Lindsey Simpson of Calgary, AB, and Leslie Jewell (Kyle) of Calgary, AB; great-grandchildren, Abigail Kirk, Ethan Jewell, Connor Stern, and Emily Stern; three brothers, Ron Cooper, Ken Cooper (Jocelyn), and Bob Cooper (Arvella), all of Calgary. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Joyce Cooper, son Frank Cooper, and son-in-law Brian Hansen.

Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at a family residence.     I’m so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I have so many memories of us growing up as neighbours and kids . #1 was always, never pick the lawn grass. ha ha
