Millie Collins passed away in Calgary on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the age of 88 years.

Beloved Mother and Gramma, Millie is survived by her son Patrick (Marian), daughter Catherine (Wayne), and grandson Jeffrey (Kimber). She was predeceased by her youngest son Michael.

Her life, like her family, called the cities of Toronto and Calgary home. The former was where she was born and raised, raised her own three children and forged a career as an administrative assistant. The latter was where she moved after retiring from the Metropolitan Separate School Board to be closer to her daughter and the mountains she had so come to love.

Owner of an independent spirit, a charitable heart and a creative soul, Millie was an avid reader, skilled knitter and inspired sewer. Her cross-stitch work was a staple at the Creative Arts Showcase of the Calgary Stampede where many of her pieces took home ribbons over the years.

Greatly missed by her family, friends and community, she will always be loved and never forgotten. Now Millie is sitting pretty on top of the world, watching down on the family she was so proud of and making up for her lost time with Michael.

As per her and the family’s wishes a private memorial will be held. Condolences may be forwarded through
