CHARLTON, Leslie

November 14, 1955- Calgary, Alberta
July 23, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie on July 23, 2018 of cancer at the age of 62 years.

After a long, successful career at Chevron, Leslie was able to enjoy the job of her dreams. Her love of her dogs, Sullie and Sydney led her to open Calgary’s first TAILBLAZERS franchise which she operated with pride. It was here that she made many wonderful connections with her customers and their pets. The family will be carrying on with this dream and will continue to run the store in her honour.

Les was a huge Indy car racing fan, often travelling around North America to watch races. She especially loved driver Danny Sullivan, whom Sullie the dog was named after. Leslie also enjoyed playing softball for the Chevron team and was an amazing 1st baseman.

Leslie is survived by her mother, Marlene; friend and partner, Kim Miller; brother Greg and spouse Kris along with their children and grandchildren; and her sister Sue who was her lifelong best friend. She will also be missed by her furry friends Skye and Tia.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to PAWSITIVE MATCH RESCUE FOUNDATION, P.O. Box 84165 Market Mall RPO, N.W., Calgary, AB T3A 5C4, website- https://pawsitivematch.org/. The family would like to give a special thanks to Carol for all of her help and support in Leslie’s last months. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

In living memory of Leslie Charlton a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, CALGARY, AB, T2E 2V6, Telephone: 403-276-2296.
