  3. My sympathy to all the members of Jean’s family. We first met at the marriage of her son Cameron to our daughter Deborah, and because we live in Ontario have only met a few times over the years since then, but I have always valued our relationship with Jean; it was a pleasure knowing her.

  4. It was such a pleasure to have known Jean. She and my mother Beth were lifelong friends beginning in Elementary school in Cardston, and it was fun to get the two of them together in their later years for lunch and visiting. I still have the lovely afghan Jean made for my Mom. She was a knitting whiz. Mom told me Jean would take her yarn to the movies and knit in the dark. They were stellar members of an awesome generation.

  5. Aunt Jean was always a joy to visit. She asked good questions and was interested in everyone and contributed to making life richer for me. In spite of health problems, she spoke with energy. I learned good things from her and have benefited from her example. She often had a twinkle in her eye. We will remember her well.

  6. I worked at Van Horne with Mrs Card from 1972 – 1982 or so, when she left the school, for retirement, I believe. She was a pleasent person who the kids liked a lot and she was always easy to talk to. I was at VH for 35 years teaching Horticulture and many other things, and felt Mrs Card was one of the nice people that the kids needed for their hard lives. She used to tape Days of Our Lives to see later, and we used to tease her about it. We will always remember her with smiles. RIP Mrs Jean
