CADMUS, Christiana Oreoluwa

May 21, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Christiana Oreoluwa Cadmus, beloved wife of Sehubo (Cady) Cadmus of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the age of 76 years.

Christiana was born in Lagos, Nigeria on June 6th, 1942. She emigrated from Lagos, Nigeria, to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1974. Christiana married Sehubo (Cady) Cadmus on December 23rd, 1963. She was a founding member of the Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary (NCAC). Christiana accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of being a founding member of the NCAC of Calgary. Christiana had a passion for dancing, cooking, and reading.

Besides her loving husband, Christiana is survived by her son Sunday Cadmus, New Westminster, BC; her daughter Debbie Cadmus; and ten grandchildren, Melissea Walters, Alitta Cadmus, John Cadmus, Wale Cadmus, Adrian Cadmus-Dixon, Brieanna Cadmus-Dixon, Sade Cadmus, Niya Cadmus, Marcus Cadmus, and Mariya Cadmus; one great-grandchild, Aaron Cadmus. Christiana is also survived by her brother Kehinde Martin; three sisters Mrs. Odunbaku, Mrs. Oluwemimo and Kofo Martin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Christiana was predeceased by her parents and eldest sister.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
